This project was begun under with the advising of Hava Siegelmann and Lee Spector at Hampshire College and the BINDS lab, University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

The project is being continued with the advising of Hava Siegelmann and Jordan Pollack at the BIG lab, Brandeis University.




It all began with diffusion...



Alas, diffusion wasn't all that exciting,
and so a purpose was formulated...



Initially, it was adaptation to color


(examining the differences in maximum values)


(examining the flow of information)

But in order to do so the underlying mechanics needed to be further understood

(40% of original was observed)


(66% of original was observed)


Then, it was more like learning how to see more out of less
